Remember that succulents are not that dependent on water because of their ability to store water in the stems.
Brown spots on the leaves or browning tips are typically due to sunburn or dehydration or under-watering.

Yellow leaves are the most manifested symptoms of overwatering.
There are two points to consider though.
It may also happen because of the argument that succulents do not need that much water.

On the other end, it must be understood too that some succulents need more water than usual.
