Wave petunias have gone from chance discovery to worldwide favorite over the last three decades.
Then, in 1995, “Here comes Wave with their beautiful pink pots,” Rotella says.
The now iconic pink-pot petunias were first discovered by chance.

And in 2012, Wave addedpansy varietieswith exceptional vigor and vibrant colors.
“Someone’s out there working on your behalf,” Rotella says.
In Anne Geddes' fashion, the photos feature 13 babies wearing Wave-petunia-inspired hats sitting in pink pots.

“The babies, [the] potsit’s so iconic,” Rotella says.
The collection of images “celebrate the heartwarming connection between flourishing flowers and the wonder of new life.”
The contest runs through July 30, and the shoot will take place in September of this year.
