What Is a Coffee Panna Cotta?

A panna cotta is a traditional Italian dessert that tastes like a cross between vanilla pudding and flan.

It has more form than a pudding and comes together withgelatin.

This differs from flan which gets its structure from eggs.

Combine Coffee and Sugar

In a medium saucepan combine coffee and sugar.

Stir to dissolve sugar.

Sprinkle gelatin over the coffee mixture.

Let stand for 5 minutes.

Stir in whipping cream and vanilla.

Cover and chill for 4 to 24 hours or until set.

Beat with an electric mixer on medium speed until soft peaks form.
