The Aperol Spritz is an Italian aperitif that dates back to the early 1900s.

Its light, refreshing notes come from Prosecco (or othersparkling wine) and a splash of club soda.

A couple of ounces of Aperol give the drink its signature bitter flavor.

Use a tall glass or deep wine goblet to serve chilled over plenty of ice.

Add an orange wheel to the glass for a pretty pop of color and bright citrus flavor.
