This delicious fall dessert recipe starts with in-season granny smith apples and a crispy oat topper.
We added pecans to the topping for extra crunch but you could easily omit them.

Lightly coat a 2-qt.
square baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.
In a large bowl combine sugar, cornstarch, salt, and cinnamon.
Add apples and lemon juice; toss to coat.
Transfer apple mixture to prepared dish.
Add butter, mix until clumps form.
Sprinkle topping over filling.
Bake 40 to 45 minutes or until filing is bubbly and crumble is golden brown.
